When the Smoke Cleared, the Red Cross was There.
As an adjoining townhome was reduced to ashes and firefighters battled to save hers, Jodi Tafoya watched. When the fire was out and she stood surrounded by the smoking, scorched and soaked debris that was her home, the Colorado Red Cross was there to help.

Are You Prepared to Take Action When the Time Comes?

Learn how you can be ready for an emergency or disaster by taking this Online Training  (video). In addition, the Red Cross offers a library of Safety  and Response and Preparedness Resources,  and also offers businesses and community organizations comprehensive, on-site disaster and emergency response programs to help your employees, volunteers, communities and families:

  • Establish response programs for natural disaster such as fires, floods and tornados.
  • Educate and train employees, volunteers and families and populations on what to do in an emergency or disaster
  • Design year-around preparedness protocols, such as flu-vaccinations and environmental and season-specific readiness teams to arm your workforce, member base and families pro-actively for potential incidents.
